Wild Gears 2.0 Kickstarter
Aaron Bleackley, creator of Wild Gears (read about my own experiences with Wild Gears here), is running a Kickstarter campaign that ends tomorrow night (
Aaron’s first Wild Gears Kickstarter campaign was two years ago. Since that time, he has learned some things which he wants to implement in version 2.0.
The resulting set will be stronger and cost 20% less. He also wants to prototype some new ideas and add some design improvements.

Thanks so much for posting the Kickstarter campaign. I’m so excited to have joined the campaign. I’ve fallen in love with Spirograph but find it a tad limited. From reading your post on wild gears I knew I needed to get a set. Now for the wait….
Hey, that’s great! There’s lots more I hope to write and show about Wild Gears. It has even given me new perspectives on Spirograph.
Wile looking at Wild Gears on Ponoko, I found this similar effort:

Yes, I haven’t tried that one. If anyone has, it would be great to hear a review.
Wild Gears has a couple of unique features: the many shapes and the different sized holes and donuts that allow you to make parallel lines.
